Snapchat launch ‘My Places’

The buzz word on every social media platform’s metaphorical lips right now – discoverability.

Throughout the pandemic, many platforms did their bit to try and boost local businesses, encouraging consumers to shop small and pump some much needed cash back into their immediate area.

Snapchat have taken another step forward in this, introducing a brand-new element into their Snap Map function, simply titled ‘ My Places’.

The map displays popular local businesses around locations you’ve previously visited, including three different categories:

Snapchat is aiming to use the feature to improve user experience, boost their community offering and promote local businesses.

Facebook introduce ‘Campaign Ideas Generator’

Facebook have launched a nifty new mini-site, helping users who may be having trouble coming up with fresh social media campaign ideas.

The Campaign Ideas Generator mini-site contains various templates, recommendations and insights with can be tailored by seasonal event or business type.
